LED Headlight Conversion Bulbs - The Cost-Effective Way to Better Lighting more details on

Amazing advances in technology have finally made it possible to harness the benefits of light-emitting diodes (LEDs) to work effectively as automotive headlight bulbs. Engineers have been working on perfecting LED headlight bulbs for years, but only recently have the heat and temperature issues been solved. Because headlights shine much brighter than other light bulbs in a vehicle, finding ways to manage the consistent heat levels necessary to ensure reliable and long-lasting LED operation can prove difficult. I did.

Now that we can effectively control the temperature within the bulb assembly, LED headlight bulbs are not only practical, but highly desirable. In this article, we'll take a look at replacement LED headlight bulbs, what makes them great, and how easy they are to install on your vehicle.

The LED headlight bulbs we offer are "plug and play" and have bulb bases designed to fit into the same sockets and mate with the same wiring connectors as the original halogen bulbs. So if you like the look of your existing headlamp housings, you don't have to spend a fortune to replace them to get a whiter, cleaner-looking, brighter light. All you need is a new light bulb.

We have conversion LED headlight bulb kits for a wide range of vehicles, from current models to early US market vehicles (mid-1980s) with composite headlamp assemblies. Although easy to install, it may take up more space in your headlamp assembly due to the larger overall size of the bulb housing. For this reason, we recommend measuring your available space before ordering a replacement bulb.

please note! LED headlight bulbs are only suitable as replacements for halogen bulbs and are not compatible with factory HID/Xenon setups.

Your car or truck is equipped from the factory with a specific bulb size/type using industry-agreed identification standards. These sizes are common throughout the automotive industry, and each type of bulb has a specific code number. The LED headlight bulbs we sell are vehicle specific, so enter your year, make and model in the product options section and we'll only show you bulbs that are applicable to your vehicle. In most cases you will see the bulb size/number on our website (see photo above for an example). As a precaution, we recommend checking your owner's manual to determine the size of your vehicle's headlight bulbs.

For standard brightness LED headlight bulbs, a specially developed copper and aluminum "heat sink" radiates heat away from the bulb. The heat sink metal material can be formed into flexible braided ribbons or rigid fins arranged in a radial pattern. When we use the term "standard brightness" we are referring to the level of luminous intensity output produced by most LED headlight bulbs. Note that this brightness is more intense than that produced by almost all halogen headlight bulbs.

What are the advantages of LED bulbs?

An LED is a transistor embedded in a film that emits light when an electric current is applied. LEDs produce more illumination from 1 watt of power because they are not limited by a self-consuming filament like traditional incandescent bulbs. LEDs also burn cooler than incandescent bulbs because they don't produce unnecessary heat because they don't have a filament. In fact, the energy savings are so great that LEDs use only a fraction of the power of regular light bulbs. It also reduces heat build-up, which prevents the composite headlight assembly's plastic lens cover from degrading and appearing milky.

The LED is highly resistant to shock and vibration and is sealed in a moisture-proof case. This can provide between 10,000 and 50,000 hours of service, depending on design and other factors. Measuring this compared to a typical incandescent headlight bulb's lifespan of 1,000 to 2,000 hours, here's how LED headlight bulbs can extend their lifespan once installed in your car or truck. is easy to understand.

Due to limited space under the hood, some modern vehicles require the entire headlight assembly to be removed to easily replace the headlight bulb. Additionally, if you are removing the headlight assembly, you will need to unbolt the front bumper cover and move it forward to provide clearance. If you've ever performed this task yourself, you know how tedious it can be. If you've ever paid to have a repair done at a store, you'll quickly realize that you can save money in the long run by eliminating frequent bulb changes that can take anywhere from 30 minutes to an hour of labor. These savings can recoup the high initial cost of LED lights over the life of the bulb.

Additionally, LED bulbs rarely burn out, which virtually eliminates the risk of being pulled over and ticketed for a non-functioning headlight.
